Wear Your Skin, Not Your Makeup
Skin Refabrication™ is a process of restoring the ideal fabric nature of the skin, rejuvenating it to the texture and resilience of youthful skin. This process tightens existing collagen and stimulates the production of new collagen through proven state-of-the-art technologies, restoring skin to a quality that is more tightly woven, healthier, and ultimately more beautiful and youthful.
Skin Refabrication™ is achieved by Laser and Light Technologies combined with consistent and tailored skin care maintenance, slowing down the rate of skin deterioration (aging) and reversing and rebuilding already damaged skin. It is this goal of a “perfected fabric” through Skin Refabrication™ that not only leads to immediate cosmetic improvements, but will ultimately allow for smaller cosmetic procedures, appropriately timed throughout a lifetime, to produce natural surgical results at any age. A two part Skin Refabrication™ Plan is recommended to begin “banking your collagen” for the future. First, is the combination of scientifically proven laser applications and light based therapies to enhance collagen production. Second, Dr. Wells has created, Scott Wells MD®, a line of medical grade Skin Maintenance Formulas, which are utilized in custom designed programs for each patient.
This is an important adjunct to maintaining the outcome of these laser and light procedures. An optimal approach to skin rejuvenation and age management necessitates patients to bank collagen, allowing for more natural results with smaller plastic surgical interventions. Dr. Wells states, “The sooner a skin maintenance plan is put into effect, the better. Skin Refabrication™ is the future of natural plastic surgery and the secret for keeping your beauty for life.”
PART ONE – ACTIVE FX LASER RESURFACING:
The Active FX Laser Resurfacing procedure, comparable to the FRAXEL, is a revolutionary new way of delivering the beam of surgical laser energy such that it produces the remarkable results of traditional ablative lasers with a fraction of the recuperation and almost none of the discomfort nor inconvenience that patients have come to expect from laser resurfacing.
The Active FX is the first of its kind, rapid recovery ablative laser with fractionated technology for skin rejuvenation. Active FX utilizes CO2 laser energy to treat fine lines, aging and sun damage in a very fast, single treatment approach.
Active FX provides a “collagen boost” which is then followed by non-ablative IPL & Laser treatments that further contract the collagen and continue to stimulate new collagen production.
At Dr. Scott Wells’ practice, Active FX is the beginning step in the “Skin Refabrication” process. Active FX can be administered as a one-time treatment for skin with minimal sun damage and just needs to be refreshed, or it can be administered as a part of the Skin Refabrication Treatment that represents the ultimate in skin rejuvenation.
PART TWO:
Achieving “Beauty For Life™” is attainable through “Skin Refabrication” but as the aging process is inexorable, the process requires maintenance. For example, if you purchased a gym membership and only went for a month, got into shape and then never returned, you could not expect to retain that level of fitness. It goes the same with maintaining your beauty.
The Skin Refabrication process is not a one-time treatment. Rather, it should be thought of as an ongoing, lifelong plan. It is for this reason that we strive to bring the most up-to-date technologies in non-ablative collagen maintenance as well as state-of-the-art anti-aging skin formulations. It is for this reason that the membership programs were created.
Maintaining the quality and texture of the skin necessitates a highly individualized skin care regimen combined with advanced facial treatments, stimulation and chemical peels. This is where the science and art intermingles.
By using science and technology to provide the tools, the staff at Dr. Scott Wells’ office and the Skin Gym™, craft their art in the application of these tools.
